PRIVACY POLICY
Elevating Parenthood, LLP: Last Updated: July 15, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Elevating Parenthood, LLP ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have in relation to that information.
This Policy applies when you visit our website, create an account, or purchase and access our online course, The Screen Balance Program, hosted on the Kajabi platform (collectively, the "Services").
One thing we want you to know up front: the assessments, planners, and interactive tools in the course are designed so that what you enter about your family stays in your own browser, on your own device. In normal operation, your answers are never transmitted to us or stored on our systems. Section 2.5 explains this in detail.
If you are a resident of California, please see Section 14. If you are visiting from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, please see Section 15. Residents of other US states with privacy laws should see Section 16.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you give us when you:
- Create an account or enroll: your name, email address, billing address, and account credentials.
- Make a purchase: payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. We receive a payment confirmation and billing name, but we never store your card number or CVV.
- Engage with course content: any information you submit through reflection exercises, questionnaires, or self-assessment tools included in the course (see Section 2.5 for how most of this stays on your device).
- Contact us for support: your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Subscribe to our email list: your name and email address.
- Complete a survey or provide feedback: any information you choose to share.
If we need certain information by law or to fulfill our contract with you (for example, billing details to complete a purchase) and you choose not to provide it, we may be unable to provide the relevant product or service. We will tell you if this is the case at the time.
2.2 Information Generated by Your Use of the Course
When you access the course platform (Kajabi), data is automatically generated about your use, including:
- Course progress and completion: which lessons you have accessed, completed, and how long you spent on each.
- Assessment and quiz responses: your answers to the small number of check-in quizzes that are recorded by the platform. These are flagged in the course with a note telling you exactly what is stored.
- Login and access activity: when you log in, from what device and location, and how frequently you access the platform.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically (Website)
When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and the URL that referred you to our site.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for full details. Non-essential (analytics) cookies are used only if you accept them through our cookie banner.
2.4 Information from Third Parties
We may receive limited information from:
- Kajabi: our course platform, which manages account registration, payments, course delivery, built-in email communications, and platform analytics.
- Stripe: our payment processor, which confirms payment status and provides basic transaction details such as billing name and amount paid.
We may use, now or in the future, third-party analytics and advertising services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar tools, which collect technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies. Where these tools involve non-essential cookies, they run only with your consent through our cookie banner, and our Cookie Policy lists the tools in active use at any time.
2.5 Interactive Tools and Data Stored on Your Device
The course includes interactive tools (such as assessments, planners, trackers, and exercises) that are designed to save what you enter in your browser's local storage, on your own device. By design, the contents of these tools, including anything you enter about your child, are not transmitted to us, and in normal operation we do not receive or store them on our systems. This is deliberate: it is the most protective way we know to handle information about your family.
However, you should be aware of the following:
- No guarantee of non-collection. While these tools are designed to keep your entries on your device, we cannot guarantee that no data will ever reach us or our service providers (for example, through error logs, platform features operated by Kajabi, or future changes to the tools). Any personal information that does reach us is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- Optional features that do send data. Some tools offer optional features, such as requesting an email reminder. If you use them, the information needed to provide that feature (for example, your email address) is transmitted to us and our platform provider and is treated as information you provide to us under Section 2.1.
- Completion and platform data. Lesson completion, badge or progress events, and your use of the platform may be recorded by Kajabi as described in Section 2.2, even where the content of your answers stays on your device.
- Backups are your responsibility. Data stored in your browser can be lost if you clear your browser data, use private browsing, or switch devices. We provide backup and transfer tools on your Family Dashboard; if you email a backup to yourself, it is sent through your own email provider, not through us. We are not responsible for loss of locally stored data.
- Shared devices. Anyone with access to your device and browser profile may be able to view data stored locally by these tools.
Because of this design, we do not intentionally collect any special category data (such as health information) about you or your child. Nothing in this section limits our collection and use of the information described elsewhere in this Policy, including the technical and analytics data described in Section 2.3.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Delivering the course: processing your enrollment, providing access to course content and materials, tracking your progress, and issuing completion records where applicable.
- Processing payments: verifying and recording your purchase, issuing receipts, and handling refund requests in accordance with our refund policy.
- Customer support: responding to your questions, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing support requests.
- Service communications: sending order confirmations, account notices, course reminders, and important policy updates.
- Marketing communications: with your consent where required by law, sending newsletters or promotional information about our courses. You may opt out at any time.
- Improving our services: analyzing how users engage with our website and course content to make improvements to the experience, curriculum, and platform.
- Legal compliance: maintaining records required by applicable law, including tax and accounting records.
- Fraud prevention and security: detecting and preventing unauthorized access, fraudulent transactions, and other misuse of our Services.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as described below.
4.1 Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party providers who process data on our behalf to help us operate our Services. They may only use your information for the specific purpose we have engaged them:
- Kajabi: course platform, account management, payment facilitation, email delivery, and platform analytics (kajabi.com/policies/privacy)
- Stripe: payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Email service provider: for newsletters and marketing emails, where we use a service outside of Kajabi's built-in tools.
- Analytics and advertising providers: such as Google, Meta, or similar services, if and when we use them, as reflected in our Cookie Policy and subject to the consent requirements described in Section 6.
4.2 Legal and Regulatory Disclosures
We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person.
4.3 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the relevant party. We will provide notice by email or a prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Marketing Communications
We may send you promotional emails if you have opted in to receive them, or where we have a legitimate basis to do so as an existing customer. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send; or
- Emailing us at [email protected].
Opting out of marketing communications will not affect service-related emails such as order confirmations, access links, or account notices.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Please read our separate Cookie Policy for full details about the cookies in use and how to manage your preferences.
In summary, we use:
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to function, such as keeping you logged into your account. These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies: set by our platform provider (Kajabi) to help us understand how visitors use our website. These are used only if you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner.
We may also use marketing or advertising cookies in the future; any such cookies will be listed in our Cookie Policy and, where consent is required, used only with your consent. You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Change your cookie preferences" link in our Cookie Policy, or through your browser settings.
7. Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and careful vetting of third-party service providers.
Your payment card information is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor, and is never transmitted to or stored by us.
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and any applicable regulator without undue delay where we are legally required to do so (within 72 hours to the UK Information Commissioner's Office where the UK GDPR applies).
While we work hard to protect your information, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. If you have concerns about the security of your data, please contact us at [email protected].
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy or as required by applicable law:
- Account and purchase records: a minimum of seven (7) years to satisfy our tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
- Course progress and activity data: for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
- Marketing contact information: until you unsubscribe, or until we determine the information is no longer needed for its original purpose.
- Customer support records: for a reasonable period following resolution of your inquiry, normally no more than two (2) years.
When data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are designed exclusively for adults, specifically parents and caregivers of children. While our course content is about children's screen use and family routines, the course itself is sold to and used by adults only.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Our website and course platform are not directed at minors and we do not market to them.
Information you record about your own child inside the course's interactive tools stays in your browser on your device and is not transmitted to us (see Section 2.5). We believe this is the most protective approach available: we cannot lose, share, or misuse data we never receive.
If you believe that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will investigate and promptly delete any such information.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Regardless of where you are located, you have the following general choices in relation to your personal information:
- Access and correction: you may contact us to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or to correct inaccurate information.
- Account deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law (such as purchase records).
- Marketing opt-out: you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
- Cookie preferences: you may manage your cookie choice at any time via the link in our Cookie Policy or your browser settings.
- Global Privacy Control: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; browsers sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal are treated accordingly.
Residents of California have additional rights described in Section 14. Visitors from the UK and EEA have additional rights described in Section 15. To make any request, please contact us using the details in Section 13. We will not charge a fee for exercising your rights, though we may charge a reasonable fee or decline clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive requests.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website or course materials may include links to third-party websites, tools, or services (for example, links to research sources, parenting resources, or technology providers). These links are for your convenience only. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on our website at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect, where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of our Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or if you would like to exercise any of the rights described in this Policy, please contact us:
Elevating Parenthood, LLP

14. Additional Information for California Residents
This section supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California. It describes our practices under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California consumers:
- Identifiers: name, email address, IP address, account username, and unique identifiers.
- Commercial information: records of courses purchased, payment history, and transaction details.
- Internet or electronic network activity: browsing history on our website, pages visited, course content accessed, and interactions with our platform.
- Geolocation data: general location inferred from your IP address.
- Inferences: derived from the above to understand engagement with our content and inform how we improve the course.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA. Information you enter into the course's interactive tools stays on your device as described in Section 2.5.
Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through your use of our Services, and from our service providers (Kajabi, Stripe).
Purposes for Collection and Use
We use the above categories of personal information for the purposes described in Sections 3 and 4 of this Policy: delivering the course, processing payments, providing support, sending communications, improving our services, and complying with legal obligations.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we neither sell nor share personal information, no opt-out is needed; we also honor Global Privacy Control signals as a matter of course. If we ever begin sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will update this Policy first and provide the opt-out mechanisms required by law.
Your CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know: request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed.
- Delete: request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
- Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
To submit a request, please contact us at [email protected] or write to us at the address in Section 13. We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within 45 days as required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, provided they supply sufficient proof of authorization.
15. Additional Information for UK and EEA Visitors
This section applies if you access our Services from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the EU GDPR, the data controller is Elevating Parenthood, LLP, contactable at the details in Section 13.
Legal Bases for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:
- Performance of a contract: to register your account, deliver the course you purchased, process payments, and provide customer support.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies (requested through our cookie banner) and for marketing emails where you are not an existing customer. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and administer our website, prevent fraud, improve our Services, and send marketing to existing customers about similar products (with an opt-out in every message). Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax, accounting, and other records we are required to hold.
Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability of data you provided to us, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the details in Section 13. We will respond within one month, and we will tell you if we need longer for a complex request.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers (Kajabi and Stripe) are US companies, so personal data collected from UK and EEA visitors is transferred to the United States. Where we transfer your data out of the UK or EEA, we ensure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard: transfers to organizations certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, or contracts incorporating the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguard applied to a specific transfer.
16. Other US State Privacy Laws
If you reside in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and states with similar laws), we extend to you the same rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability described in Section 14, to the extent required by your state's law. We do not sell personal data, do not currently process personal data for targeted advertising, and do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. If we begin processing personal data for targeted advertising, we will update this Policy first and provide any opt-out required by your state's law. To exercise your rights or appeal a decision, contact us using the details in Section 13.
17. Automated Decision-Making and AI
We do not make any decisions about you using automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The scoring in our assessments and quizzes is informational only, runs in your own browser, and is designed to help you reflect on your family's screen habits; it is not used by us to profile you or make decisions about you.
